Live gracefully,
share unfiltered.
gracefullyunfiltered.com is a love letter to real womanhood. We talk about wrinkles and wonder, stretch marks and strength, messy kitchens and meaningful mornings. Beauty without editing. Wellness without punishment. Motherhood without guilt. Aging as art.

We quit perfect. We chose graceful & real.
Hi, I'm Maya Ellis — former beauty editor, now mom of two, lover of cold coffee and warm honesty. I started Gracefully Unfiltered in 2019 after a photoshoot where they photoshopped my smile lines away. I cried. Then I wrote. That essay was read by 300,000 women in 48 hours.
This site is our living room. No “bounce back after baby”. No “anti-aging secrets”. No 5am perfect routines. Instead: real skin at 34 and 54, real bodies after babies and burnout, real homes with laundry chairs, real talk about anxiety, joy, marriage, friendship, money, faith and second chances.
Radical honesty
Unretouched photos. Unedited feelings. We show morning face and midnight thoughts.
Grace over grind
Rest is productive. Softness is strength. Slow is a strategy.
Aging as art
Every line is a story. We don’t fight time, we collaborate with it.
Home as haven
Not showroom, sanctuary. Lived-in, loved-on, welcoming.
Six honest obsessions. Zero judgment. Pick your chapter.

Real skin, real routines
Melasma, hormonal acne at 38, grey blending, drugstore heroes. Skincare for real life and budgets.

“Perfection is a filter. Grace is the real glow.”
— MAYA ELLIS, FOUNDER • ISSUE #214

The Graceful Start
No ice bath. Just lemon water, 3 pages journal, stretch by window, one honest intention. “Today I will be kind to my tired self.”
Try tomorrow →
Unwind Without Guilt
Warm shower, oil on legs, phone in drawer, herbal tea, voice note to a friend instead of doomscroll. Sleep is self-respect.
Try tonight →Do you retouch photos?
Never. We shoot in daylight, show pores, cellulite, laundry piles. If a brand asks to smooth skin, we say no. Our contract bans Facetune.
Is this only for moms?
No. 40% of readers are child-free, 25% are over 55, 15% are men who love honest writing. If you crave real over perfect, you belong.
How do I share my story?
Write 600-1200 words like to a best friend. Send via the contact form below with “MY STORY” subject. We reply within 5 days, always kindly.
Do you do product reviews?
Only what we bought ourselves and used 30+ days. No sponsored perfection. If it pills, breaks us out or wastes money — we say so.
Share, ask, vent, celebrate
Story pitches, collabs with integrity, hello notes. We read everything.
